My aim is to provide Counselling and Psychotherapy that helps you to deal with difficult feelings, thoughts, actions or compulsions; so that you can lead a happier, more fulfilling life.
Could Counselling or Psychotherapy be useful for you?
Yes! Especially when part ( or all) of your life feels painful, problematic, scary, depressing or even just plain hopeless or dull!! It can help you when you feel anxious or depressed and when past trauma, abuse or other experiences comeback to haunt you.
It can also help you to resolve distressing behaviours such as overeating, addictions, obsessions, procrastination or feeling uncontrollably angry or stressed.
Importantly you may want to use Counselling or psychotherapy if you feel unloved, lonely or feel that you don’t like yourself. It can also be useful if you just haven’t a clue what to do next!
Many people have used therapy to resolve relationships, or when they have issues with work or work colleagues.
Why use therapy?
The benefits of counselling and psychotherapy are generally that people become more able to deal with, accept, manage and resolve the problems and issues that they are facing.
This is done by providing a safe and confidential space in which you have somebody who is absolutely on your side so that together we enable you to come up with solutions and strategies to help you to solve the problems that you face.
I work from Tower House Counselling in Bideford, North Devon (EX39 2 ND) and from the Winkleigh area, Mid Devon (EX18 7SL). I work face to face individually and with groups. I have some sessions that I can do on the telephone, on-line and via Skype, so you do not have to live in Devon to make use of my services.
